Pawan Kalyan’s OG is off to a brilliant start at the ticket windows, registering solid occupancies everywhere. The gangster action drama, directed by Sujeeth, also marks the Tollywood debut of Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi. The references to Pawan Kalyan’s Johnny and Thammudu are leaving fans thrilled.
At the success meet, Sujeeth revealed whose idea it was to include those references.”The idea was shared by both of us (Sujeeth and Thaman). Johnny is my personal emotion. When we were about to start working on the background score, Thaman Anna gave me a video call, and I was surprised to see Ramana Gogula Garu with him. They were both wearing OG headbands and hoodies,” Sujeeth said.
The director added, “We mixed Johnny and Thammudu references, and it worked very well. Since the idea came from both of us, it clicked. The timing of those references was key, as we wanted to offer something different in such a crucial phase of the film.”
