No TV premiere for Marco – Here’s why

Unni Mukundan’s Marco, touted as one of the most violent films in Mollywood history, recently made its OTT debut. While some viewers praised its intense action, others found the violence excessive.

However, the film’s satellite premiere is now in jeopardy, as the censor board has banned its television broadcast due to extreme violence. This means the movie will not have a TV premiere.

Earlier, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting had raised concerns about the film’s graphic content and advised against releasing an extended cut on OTT, fearing its impact on audiences.

Directed by Haneef Adeni, Marco features an ensemble cast, including Jagadish, Kabir Duhan Singh, Siddique, Anson Paul, and Yukti Thareja in pivotal roles. The film is produced by Sharif Muhammad, with music composed by Ravi Basrur.
