This Friday, two promising Telugu films, Mirai and Kishkindhapuri, are set to lock horns at the box office. While Mirai, featuring Teja Sajja, is a fantasy action-adventure, Kishkindhapuri, headlined by Bellamkonda Sreenivas, is a horror mystery thriller. Earlier in an interview, Bellamkonda Sreenivas expressed his displeasure about the clash, stating that the Mirai team could have informed them before announcing their release date.
However, during an interaction with social media influencers, Sreenivas cleared the air and shared his perspective about the box office clash. He said, “The Mirai team has also put in significant efforts. Manoj Garu, Teja, and Karthik Gattamneni are good friends of mine. I wish both films entertain the audience and emerge successful.”
Bellamkonda Sreenivas further added, “We announced our release date first, but the Mirai team also had to come on September 12 due to certain circumstances. I feel the industry will fare better if such clashes are avoided. There will be times when theatres struggle due to a lack of new releases. If release dates are planned strategically, it will benefit everyone.”
The actor is being lauded by netizens for responding to the clash in a graceful manner without belittling or degrading the film in competition. Sreenivas has promoted Kishkindhapuri impressively, and let’s see if his efforts can turn out to be fruitful.
