Kalyani Priyadarshan’s superhero flick Lokah is taking Malayalam cinema by storm. Directed and written by Dominic Arun, the film opened to strong reviews and has been well received in Telugu as Kotha Lokah.
Interestingly, Mohanlal’s Hridayapoorvam released simultaneously but failed to create as much buzz as Lokah. Ticket sales tell the story.
In the past 24 hours, Lokah sold over 310K tickets (all languages) on BookMyShow, while Hridayapoorvam managed just 96K tickets. This shows that the superhero flick is ahead in both collections and audience reception.
Sunday collections were solid for Lokah, and today’s (Monday) box office will be the real test. With its surprising cameos, clever writing, and polished execution, Lokah has emerged as the standout film. Industry watchers will be keen to see how much further it can climb at the box office.
