Maruthi, one of the most successful filmmakers in the present generation of directors with five hits in a row, also turned producer with a string of low budget films. However, almost all his productions were panned by critics and audiences alike for the adult content in their stories and they even damaged Maruthi’s image to an extent. This prompted Maruthi to vow not to produce any such films in the future.
However, latest reports reveal that Maruthi will once again don the producer’s hat for yet another low budget crime comedy in debutant Muralikrishna’s direction. Titled ‘Rojulu Marayi’, the film stars Drishyam fame Kruthika Jayakumar in the female lead. Apparently, Kruthika plays the role of a girl who gets into complex situations.
