Mammootty’s Mamangam sets a new record with Telugu release

Yesterday, the first look poster of Malayalam star Mammootty’s ambitious period war drama, Mamangam, was unveiled to a massive response from fans. The film’s makers had announced that Mamangam will be simultaneously releasing in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, along with the Malayalam version.

With its Telugu release, Mamangam has become the first Malayalam film to release in four languages simultaneously. Mamangam’s story is set in the 17th century. The film showcases the fierce battles fought by a few warrior men, including Mamangam, against their rulers.

Being made with a whopping budget, Mamangam is directed by Padmakumar and produced by Venu Kunnappilly. The film is expected to hit screens towards the end of this year.
