Mammootty has now come up with the crime thriller Kalamkaval. Directed by newcomer Jithin K. Jose, this film is special because it presents the Mollywood legend in a negative role.
The movie received positive reports from the audience and critics, and the film is off to a strong start at the ticket windows. According to trade reports, Kamalkaval collected a solid Rs. 15.5 crores gross globally. The majority of the revenue came from international markets, while the movie registered a fair opening in its home turf.
The film is expected to perform well over the weekend. Vinayakan, Rajisha Vijayan, Gibin Gopinath, and others played key roles, while Meera Jasmine appeared in a cameo. The film is produced by Mammootty Kampany, while the music is composed by Mujeeb Majeed. Faisal Ali handled the cinematography.
