Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth’s highly anticipated pan-India gangster drama, Coolie, is set to hit theaters worldwide on August 14 as an Independence Day treat. The film is helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the acclaimed Kollywood director who hasn’t delivered a flop in his career to date.
On Sunday evening, Lokesh took to X and shared a couple of pictures with his good friend and Coolie music composer Anirudh Ravichander and went on to pen a heartwarming note for the star music director.
Calling Anirudh his “brother from another mother,” Lokesh described the pictures as “From where we started our journey together, here we are with collaborating for the fourth time and every time it’s been a blast!” One strikingly common aspect of both the pictures is the presence of Superstar Rajinikanth’s pictures in the background.
Coolie is eyeing a monstrous opening on August 14, with the pre-sales already crossing the Rs 50 crore mark at the global box office. Produced under the Sun Pictures banner, the film also features Nagarjuna, Aamir Khan, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, and other prominent actors in pivotal roles.
