With Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Pathaan crossing the Rs 1,000 crore gross milestone in a single year, all eyes were on Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay’s pan-India gangster drama, Leo. Fans were hoping that Leo would be the next Indian movie to break into the Rs 1,000 crore gross club. The film released on October 19 amid gigantic expectations and received an overwhelming response from fans.
But ending everyone’s sky-high expectations and speculations, Leo’s producer SS Lalit Kumar himself has said in a latest interview that the film will not touch the Rs 1,000 crore milestone as he is not expecting much from the film’s Hindi version’s box office collection. However, Lalit is buoyed by the emphatic response Leo has been getting since its theatrical release and also declared the film a huge money-spinner.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo is now an integral part of the LCU. The film also features Trisha, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun in lead roles. Composer Anirudh Ravichander’s chartbuster soundtrack is one of the major highlights of the movie.
