Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo created an all-time record by becoming the highest first-week grosser in Kollywood. The movie collected more than 461 crores gross in the first week. Leo is having a fantastic run in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. In other territories, too, the film is performing decently.
Now, the action drama has crossed the 5 million dollar mark at the USA box office. The cumulative gross is inclusive of all versions. Leo has become the fifth Tamil film to achieve this feat after 2.0, Ponniyin Selvan 1, Ponniyin Selvan 2, and Jailer. Previously, only Thalaivar Rajinikanth from Tamil used to have a strong market here, but now Thalapathy Vijay has set his footprint.
Directed by new-age filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, the gangster action drama also has Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, and others in crucial roles. S.S. Lalit Kumar bankrolled Leo under the banner of Seven Screen Studio. Anirudh Ravichander composed the tunes.
