Laila is Vishwak Sen’s latest film, which hit the screens on Valentine’s Day. The film found itself embroiled in several controversies, generating a decent amount of hype.
However, word of mouth was unfortunately terrible, as Laila opened to negative reviews from its very first show. According to the latest update, the film has earned just Rs 1.25 crore net worldwide on its opening day.
This is a very low figure, and given the poor reception, Laila is expected to be out of theaters by the weekend. Vishwak Sen played a female character in the film, which also starred Akanksha Singh as the female lead.
Vishwak Sen has been delivering back-to-back flops, and with Laila, he has now completed a hat-trick of failures. Gangs of Godavari, Mechanic Rocky, and now Laila—all have underperformed at the box office.
