Tollywood star Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom was released on Thursday and received a unanimous positive response from fans. Kingdom is performing quite well at the box office, and the makers have claimed that the film has amassed a whopping Rs 53 crore gross in just two days.
Vijay Deverakonda interacted with the media as part of the post-release promotions. Expressing happiness over the film’s success, Vijay said that the film is doing well not just in the twin Telugu states but also in several key regions across India and overseas. Vijay thanked all his Kerala fans for giving Kingdom a solid start despite the film not having a Malayalam version.
“Kingdom received a positive response right from the premiere shows. It made my fans happy. This success will only make me more responsible and do more good work and make my fans happy,” said the talented actor. Vijay went on to say that he was quite impressed by the way Kingdom’s director, Gowtam Tinnanuri, narrated a gangster drama in the backdrop of an emotional bond between two brothers.
Talking about Kingdom’s sequel, Vijay said, “Kingdom’s story has several layers. The relationship of two brothers, patriotism, and a tribal lord – the story gets more depth, and we have decided to narrate the story in two parts. The first part shows Suri’s journey for his brother Siva. Gowtam has a grand vision for the second part. The sequel will be mind-blowing compared to the first part,” he added.
Also starring young beauty Bhagyashri Borse and Satyadev in lead roles, Kingdom is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya in Stikara Studios’ presentation. Anirudh Ravichander has created a memorable soundtrack that elevated the film’s grand and unique visual world.
