The theatrical trailer of Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude indicated that the film is not just a youthful entertainer but will also have family elements. Directed by debutant Keerthiswaran, the movie stars Mamitha Baiju as the female lead. Pradeep Ranganathan gained a solid following among the Telugu audience with his first two films, and Dude bookings are proof of it.
In the USA, Dude collected close to $60K from its pre-sales for premiere shows, and surprisingly, the Telugu bookings are higher than the Tamil bookings. The Telugu version earned $32K so far, while the Tamil version raked in $28K. Due to the strong performance of Love Today and Dragon, Dude’s business was done at a higher price.
