Vishnu Manchu is giving it his all for the devotional action drama Kannappa. The actor pulled off a casting coup for this high-budget entertainer by roping in Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, and Kajal Aggarwal in crucial roles. The massive casting is the main reason for the film’s hype. The prestigious project is slated to hit the big screens on April 25, 2025.
A few months ago, Vishnu launched the first teaser at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Today, the second teaser was unveiled, and it looks pretty interesting with big-scale action. Vishnu’s clan is attacked by an enemy mob, to which he gives a perfect reply in his style. While the first teaser showcased Vishnu as an ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu, the latest one depicts him as an atheist.
What made an atheist turn into a hard-core devotee of Lord Shiva is what the film is about. Vishnu flexes his muscles in this teaser and aces the warrior role neatly. His body language and dialogue delivery are impressive. Akshay Kumar fits the bill as Lord Shiva with a perfect makeover. His charm and expressions are spot on. For the second time in his career, Akshay has been playing Lord Shiva after Oh My God 2.
Kajal appears as Goddess Parvathi and the best part of this teaser is Prabhas’ impactful and power-packed appearance as a sage. It lasts only a few seconds, leaving us wanting more. Preity Mukundhan plays Vishnu’s romantic interest.
Mukesh Kumar Singh, who directed the famous mythological show Mahabharat (aired on Star Plus), is helming this flick. Apart from playing a crucial role, the legendary Mohan Babu is also producing this biggie under the banner of 24 Frames Factory.
