Kalyan Ram’s latest film, Arjun S/o Vyjayanthi, also starring Vijayashanthi, is scheduled to open in cinemas this Friday. Kalyan Ram is leaving no stone unturned to promote the film. Jr. NTR graced the pre-release event, which increased the buzz further. In an interview, Kalyan Ram was asked if he has the habit of watching other language films, including Malayalam, on OTT.
Kalyan Ram said, “Yes. I do watch other language films on OTT. If someone approaches me with a story that has a Malayalam flavor, I will do it, but I will release that film directly on OTT. I won’t do such stories for theatre. I am very clear in my approach. I will look at a Malayalam movie in a certain way. They will be natural, slow, and won’t contain many fights. Comparatively, our Telugu films have a different style.”
Kalyan Ram reiterated that he is open to making Malayali-style films but made it clear that he won’t take the risk of releasing them in theatres. Kalyan Ram has indeed made an interesting statement, and we need to see how netizens react to it. The actor’s last two films, Amigos and Devil, didn’t perform well, and now he has pinned hopes on Arjun S/o Vyjayanthi.
