The makers of Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming action drama, Jailer, today announced that the film will be opening in cinemas worldwide on August 10. As the title suggests, Rajini will be seen as a Jailer in this Nelson Dilipkumar directorial.
Now, in a massive box office clash of the Titans, Jailer will lock horns with Telugu Megastar Chiranjeevi’s highly-anticipated commercial entertainer, Bholaa Shankar. The film is scheduled for an August 11th release as an Independence Day treat. It is also very rarely that a Rajini film is clashing with a Megastar flick.
Both Rajini and Chiru are huge crowd pullers in Tamil Nadu and the twin Telugu states respectively. At least Rs 400 crores will be at stake on both these movies, and whether or not this epic clash will impact their box office prospects remains to be seen.
