Leader, starring Rana Daggubati, Richa and Priya Anand, was an important film in Sekhar Kammula. Prior to that film, he had made films which had a limited canvas, but with Leader, his films became much bigger. Besides, for the first time, he dealt with a problem which has a direct impact on the society. No wonder, the director never fails to bring it up, everytime he talks about his work.
Recently, when Sekhar Kammula was in Chennai to launch the trailer of Anaamika’s Tamil version, he said, “I had requested Rajinikanth to watch ‘Leader’. If he likes the film and says ‘yes’, then I would love to remake ‘Leader’ with him in Tamil.” Rajinikanth has become quite choosy about the work he’s doing now and his next project after Kochadaiyaan hasn’t been confirmed yet. It’s a million dollar question if Rajinikanth would say yes to the remake of ‘Leader’.
