Social media popularity often invite several headaches for celebrities. It’s now Superstar Mahesh Babu’s daughter Sitara Ghattamaneni’s turn to fall prey to cyber crime. Mahesh Babu’s production house GMB Entertainment in association with Madhapur Police took to X this evening and alerted netizens regarding an incident involving the impersonation of Sitara on Instagram.
“An unidentified user has been fraudulently posing as Ms. Ghattamaneni, sending trading and investment links to unsuspecting users. Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity,” read the statement. The team went on to update that efforts are underway to trace and apprehend the impersonator to prevent future occurrences. “The public is advised to verify the authenticity of celebrity accounts before engaging with any financial advice online,” the statement concluded.
At just 11, Sitara has amassed a huge number of followers on Instagram. She has over 2 million fans on the popular photo-sharing platform.
