Renowned Kannada actor Dhananjay is joining forces with director Sukesh DK for the pan-India historical epic Halagali, produced by Kalyan Chakravarthy Dhoolipalla under Duhar Movies. Planned in two parts and being made in five languages – Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi – the film brings to life the story of the Bedar community and their guerrilla struggle against British colonial forces.

The first look poster and teaser introduce Dhananjay as a fearless revolutionary. One powerful moment shows him hurling a spear at the British flag, capturing the intensity of his character. For the role, Dhananjay underwent a complete physical transformation, adding authenticity and weight to his performance.

With grand visuals, elaborate sets, and a stirring background score, Halagali promises to be a cinematic spectacle. Vasuki Vaibhav has composed the music, while National Award-winning Vikram Mor choreographs the action sequences. Sapthami Gowda plays a pivotal role, and with more than half the film already shot, the project is shaping up to be a major highlight in Indian cinema.

Speaking about the film, Dhananjay said, “Halagali is close to my heart because it tells the story of our land, our people, and their courage. Playing a warrior who fought for freedom is both an honour and a responsibility.”

In addition to Halagali, Dhananjay has Anna From Mexico, Uttarakaanda, 666 Operation Dream Theatre, and Jingo in the pipeline, making him one of the busiest actors in the industry today.
