Bollywood is having a great time with back-to-back blockbusters. In two months, the industry witnessed two 500 crores nett grossers in the form of Gadar 2 and Jawan (all languages crossed 500 crores nett), which is a rare phenomenon. Gadar 2 lost many screens to Jawan, but the Sunny Deol starrer is still finding takers in the mass centers.
The film is posting good numbers on weekends, and currently, the collections stand at 522 crores nett. The action drama needs two crores to overtake Pathaan’s all-time record in Hindi. Many thought Gadar 2 would slow down after Jawan’s release, but that isn’t happening.
It is worth noting that Gadar 2 didn’t release in other languages. While Gadar 2 is chasing Pathaan records, SRK’s new film Jawan is going all guns blazing at the box office and is aiming for a finish around 550-570 crores nett (Hindi). As of now, Jawan scored more than 470 crores nett in Hindi.
Will Gadar 2 beat Pathaan and enjoy the all-time record status for a few days? Or will it fall short of Pathaan? By how much margin will Jawan overtake Gadar 2 and Pathaan? We will get to know the answers in the coming days.
