Festival seasons have always been the first choice for filmmakers to release their movies to cash in the holiday advantage. Dussehra is one such festive period that can bring in huge revenues. This Dussehra season is going to be a four-way clash at the Tollywood box office.
Firstly, Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s Ravanasura will be locking horns with Mani Ratnam’s dream project Ponninyin Selvan on September 30th. While the first one is touted to be one of the prestigious films in actors’ career, the latter one is mounted on a massive budget of approximately 250 crores and will be released in multiple languages.
On the 5th of October, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Godfather will clash with King Nagarjuna’s The Ghost. Godfather is an official remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Lucifer, while The Ghost is a high-octane action entertainer and is said to be made on a big scale.
It will be interesting to wait and watch which movies would take complete advantage of the festival season. Nevertheless, there is even a slight possibility of other movies entering the Dussehra race too.
