Just a while ago, a film was announced on Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj, which will be helmed by Mahesh Manjrekar. The movie is titled Veer Daudale Saat and is being planned for a release on Diwali 2023. Interestingly Bollywood star actor Akshay Kumar was roped in to play the main lead.
An event was held today in Mumbai in this regard. According to the details, the film will be made in Marathi, and this marks the Marathi debut for Akshay. However, the movie will be released in other languages as well. Akshay said it is a huge responsibility laid on him and added it was a dream come true role for him.
Well, this sudden announcement has surprised everyone. Recently Akshay tried his hand at Samrat Prithviraj, which also came under the same genre, but the film didn’t succeed. Hence it will be interesting to see how Akshay pulls off this legendary character.
