Acclaimed Tollywood filmmaker Shekar Kammula is currently giving finishing touches to his upcoming pan-India movie, Kubera. Starring Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles, the film is scheduled for release on June 20, 2025.
Shekar Kammula was the special guest at the Red Lorry Film Festival that was inaugurated in Hyderabad on Saturday evening. Addressing the attendees after the special screening of his 2006 blockbuster campus drama, Happy Days, at the festival, Shekar opened up about Kubera and said that he is feeling very proud to have made Kubera. He said, “The story of Kubera demanded stars like Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika. I am confident that audiences will go wow while watching the movie.”
“I may not convey great messages through my movies, but I strongly feel that my movies should not damage the social fabric of the country. I keep this in mind when I make movies,” he added. Kubera, produced jointly under the Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations banners, will feature a soundtrack scored by Devi Sri Prasad.
