After sharing screen space in Maamannan and Nayakudu, versatile actor Fahadh Faasil and legendary Vadivelu once again joined forces for the drama thriller Maareesan, directed by Sudheesh Sankar. The film, released on July 25, 2025, received positive reviews from critics. However, the movie didn’t make much noise at the box office.
Maareesan is now available for streaming on Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam languages, along with English subtitles. Given the genre and noted star cast, Maareesan is expected to register good viewership. The theatrical window is four weeks.
The thriller also features Kovai Sarala, Vivek Prasanna, Sithara, Renuka, and others in supporting roles. R.B. Choudhary produced this flick under the banner of Super Good Films. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music.
