Recently, comedian Yogi Babu, who played a comedic role in Jailer, shared an exciting update about the sequel, Jailer 2. In an interview, he revealed that Nelson is currently working on the pre-production of Jailer 2 and is crafting a comedy track for him and Rajinikanth, similar to the first film. He also mentioned that an official announcement about the sequel will be made soon.
Fans are thrilled with the update, but the question remains when the movie will commence filming. Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan is set for release in October 2024, and he is currently busy shooting for Coolie, which aims for a release next year. Therefore, we can anticipate Jailer 2 hitting theaters in the second half of 2025 or later. For now, we eagerly await an official word from the makers.
