Young Kollywood actor-director Pradeep Ranganathan’s latest movie, Dragon (Return of the Dragon in Telugu), is having a dream run at the box office in Tamil Nadu and overseas. The film has amassed over Rs 25 crore gross and has set its eyes on the Rs 100 crore club.
Last night, maverick Kollywood director Shankar took to X and showered praises on Dragon and the movie’s team. “Dragon a beautiful movie. Excellent writing. Hats off to director Ashwath. All characters have a beautiful and complete journey. Pradeep showed us again that he’s a terrific entertainer and proved that he is a strong, soulful performer as well,” said the star director.
Shankar went on to say some nice things about the film’s cast and crew. “Mysskin, Anupama, and George Maryan gave performances that stay in your heart. All Gen-Z/millennial characters did very well! The last twenty minutes moved me to tears. In a world with increasing number of cheats it’s a much needed message! Congrats to AGS Entertainment and the whole team,” he concluded.
In his response, a thrilled Pradeep wrote that he never dreamt of getting these comments for a boy who grew up watching Shankar’s films. “Being a fan who admired you, looked upto you and u (my most fav director) talking about me is nothing but an unbelievable dream. I can’t express my feelings through words. Thank you so much sir. I love you,” wrote Pradeep.
