Yesterday, we reported that Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie will make its way to the OTT on September 11. Prime Video, which holds the post-theatrical streaming rights, has now officially confirmed that the big-ticket entertainer will be up for streaming from September 11.
The movie will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam languages from the said date. The theatrical window is four weeks. The Hindi version will only arrive eight weeks after its theatrical debut since it had a full-fledged release in national chains. Prime Video usually announces OTT release dates closer to streaming, but this time the platform has sprung a surprise.
Already, Lokesh is being trolled for his half-baked execution, and we need to see how the audience will receive the movie once it comes on Prime Video. King Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, Upendra, and Rachita Ram played key roles. Aamir Khan and Pooja Hegde played cameos. Produced by Sun Pictures, Coolie featured Anirudh’s music.
