With advance sales heating up, Coolie is on track for a huge first day at the box office. Rajinikanth takes the lead, joined by Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna, Upendra, and several other stars.
Ever since the film was announced, fans have been wondering if Lokesh Kanagaraj will tie it into his LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe). In interviews, Lokesh has repeatedly said Coolie isn’t part of it, but die-hards aren’t convinced. Many are still holding out for that one post from him hinting they should revisit one of his earlier films before heading to the theatre.
If that happens for real, Coolie will be unstoppable at the box office, and ticket sales will surge in no time. Movie lovers and Rajini fans are waiting patiently for that one post from the director. Even if it never comes, they will still watch the movie, but getting a confirmation about its LCU connection would give a different kind of high.
The mega project also includes a star-studded cast featuring Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, Reba Monica John, and others. Sun Pictures has backed this solid project, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Coolie releases tomorrow in all major Indian languages, including Telugu.
