After a string of setbacks, Maharaja marked a strong comeback for Vijay Sethupathi. The thriller directed by Nithilan Saminathan grosses over Rs. 120 crores during its initial run. The film later released in China, and even in this territory the Vijay Sethupathi starrer performed impressively.
Now, the latest buzz in Kollywood suggests that director Nithilan Saminathan is all set to team up with none other than Superstar Rajinikanth. Reports indicate that Nithilan has managed to impress Rajini with his compelling narration. The director is said to be giving final touches to the screenplay currently.
If all goes according to plan, the film will be produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin under the Red Giant Movies banner. Rajinikanth is expected to begin work on the project after completing Jailer 2. However an official announcement is awaited. Meanwhile, directors H. Vinoth and Vivek Athreya are also reportedly in talks with the Superstar for potential collaborations.
