Prem Kumar C of Kollywood has delivered not one but two back-to-back all-time classics in Indian cinema — 96 and Meiyazhagan. While 96 explored the emotional reunion of ex-lovers, Meiyazhagan beautifully captured human emotions in their purest form.
According to the latest buzz in Kollywood circles, Prem Kumar has locked his next project. Versatile actor Chiyaan Vikram is likely to headline the film, which is said to be an action-centric project. The director has reportedly narrated a script to Vikram, which left the actor quite impressed. Initially, it was speculated that Prem Kumar would prioritize making a sequel to 96, but the filmmaker seems to have changed his mind.
If everything goes as planned, Vikram’s film with Prem Kumar will go on floors early next year. Vels International, headed by Isari Ganesh, is expected to bankroll the project. The National Award-winning actor is currently busy with his 63rd film, which is being directed by Madonne Ashwin of Mandela fame.
