On the eve of Republic Day, Government of India announced the list of Padma Awards 2025. Tollywood veteran and God of Masses Nandamuri Balakrishna has been honored with Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian award in India.
Balakrishna was conferred with Padma Bhushan for his outstanding contributions to Telugu cinema. In addition to his illustrious acting career, Balakrishna serves as a MLA from Hindupur. Balayya is widely admired for his philanthropic activities through the Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital.
Along with Balakrishna, South Indian star hero Ajith Kumar was also conferred with Padma Bhushan. Both Balakrishna and Ajith are iconic figures in Indian cinema, and this recognition celebrates their phenomenal achievements.
The awards for these legends were long overdue, and the government’s decision to acknowledge their contributions to cinema is gaining applause from one and all. On the work front, Balakrishna recently appeared in Daaku Maharaaj, while Ajith is set to release his upcoming film Vidaamuyarchi.
