Balakrishna’s much-anticipated action drama Akhanda 2, which was supposed to clash with Pawan Kalyan’s OG on September 25 postponed due to delays in post-production work. The makers tried their best to release the film on the planned date, but they prioritized quality over anything and hence pushed back the release.
At a recent press interaction, Balakrishna revealed that Akhanda 2 will hit the big screens in the first week of December 2025, instead of the earlier planned September 25 release. He attributed the delay to music director Thaman, saying, “The time allotted for Thaman wasn’t sufficient. During Akhanda’s release, sound woofers blasted. Akhanda 2 will be 50 times bigger. We will reveal the exact release date soon.”
The star actor further added that he and Boyapati Sreenu made the film with good intentions. Samyuktha plays the female lead, while Aadhi Pinisetty will be seen as the antagonist. Pragya Jaiswal and Harshaali Malhotra play prominent roles.
Raam Achanta and Gopinath Achanta are bankrolling Akhanda 2 on a massive scale under the banner of 14 Reels Plus, with M Tejaswini Nandamuri proudly presenting it.
