Released yesterday amid decent expectations and buzz, Kamal Haasan and Shankar’s much-talked-about vigilante drama, Bharateeyudu 2, took a decent start at the box office worldwide. The opening day numbers are coming in, and the film is estimated to have grossed close to Rs 55 crore at the ticket counters across the globe, including all versions.
In the entire Andhra region, excluding Ceded, Bharateeyudu 2 collected around Rs 3.90 Cr gross on its opening day. While this is a decent number considering the not-so-encouraging reviews and word of mouth, whether or not the film will gain strength and post good numbers over the weekend remains to be seen.
Bharateeyudu 2 also features Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, SJ Suryah, Rakul Preet Singh, Samuthirakhani, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, and many other popular stars in pivotal roles.
