Daaku Maharaaj, the latest outing of Balakrishna, has struck a chord with OTT audiences. The film created a rage on Netflix, with non-Telugu viewers lapping it up in a big way. In theatres, this Balakrishna-starrer had a decent run but was heavily affected by Venkatesh’s regional industry hit, Sankranthiki Vasthunam.
The movie recently had its world television premiere on Star Maa and registered a TRP of 8.23. This is quite fair, considering the significant decline in small-screen viewership for films. Notably, every recent Balakrishna film has performed well on television.
Bobby Deol played the primary antagonist. The movie also stars Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, Urvashi Rautela, Chandini Chowdhary, and others in other prominent roles. Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments produced the film. S.S. Thaman’s soundtracks played a pivotal role in helping the movie reach non-Telugu audiences.
