After repeatedly stressing that there would be no postponement, the makers of Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 have now officially announced that the sequel will not hit theatres on September 25. This Boyapati Sreenu’s directorial is thereby avoiding the box office clash with Pawan Kalyan’s much-anticipated OG.
The team revealed that they require additional time for re-recording, VFX, and the entire post-production work to present the film at its absolute best, given the massive expectations surrounding it due to the magnanimous success of its predecessor. The new date will be revealed later, depending on the progress of the post-production.
This is surely disappointing news for Balayya fans and cinephiles who have been waiting to see the high-voltage action entertainer. Samyuktha plays the female lead, while Aadhi Pinisetty will be seen as the antagonist. Pragya Jaiswal and Harshaali Malhotra play prominent roles.
Raam Achanta and Gopinath Achanta are bankrolling Akhanda 2 on a massive budget under the banner of 14 Reels Plus, with M Tejaswini Nandamuri proudly presenting it. Thaman is the tunesmith.
