Sai Rajesh’s Baby was a sensational box office success. The romantic drama, starring Anand Deverakonda, Viraj Ashwin, and Vaishnavi Chaitanya, created a sensation and sparked many discussions about its portrayal of flawed characters. A Hindi remake was announced by the director later, but the project has been delayed.

Babil Khan, son of the late Irrfan Khan, was cast as one of the leads but he opted out after prep sessions, causing the delay. Rumors circulated online that the project had been put on hold. In a recent media interaction, Sai Rajesh addressed the rumors. He revealed that production will be wrapped by December 2025.

“The release will happen sometime in the first half of 2026. I feel the movie triggered only a small section of the Twitter (X) audience. People loved the movie, and that’s why it raked in solid numbers. We made some changes to the Hindi version. Based on the feedback from reviewers for the Telugu version, I corrected the mistakes in the Hindi version,” stated Sai Rajesh.
