Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule’s Hindi version is storming the North Indian box office with record collections. The film is setting new benchmarks in the Hindi circuits, even surpassing the existing records of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan.

In a latest interview, popular Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade, who dubbed for Allu Arjun’s Pushparaj character in the film’s Hindi version, shared some interesting tidbits about how he dubbed to maintain Pushparaj’s infectious swag. Since Pushparaj’s character in the sequel is far more grittier, Shreyas had to modulate his voice to match Pushpa’s aggression and subtle emotions, carefully delivering the impact.

Shreyas went on to reveal the unique trick he followed while dubbing for Pushpa 2. He said that he placed cotton in his mouth to create the rough and rugged tone needed to bring authenticity to Pushparaj’s character. “This time the character has more swag. In the first part, he was rising. Now he is confident. This is his rule, and that rule had to be seen. You can see his body language, but the voice had to match that. Also, this time Pushpa is either drinking or chewing tobacco or even smoking at times. So, to match all of that was difficult. I put cotton in my mouth while dubbing those lines,” said the acclaimed actor.
