It is a disappointing situation for Tollywood that the most awaited pan-Indian film Akhanda 2-Thaandavam from Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu has been postponed indefinitely at the last minute. The sudden turn of events upset Balayya’s fans, and many movie lovers felt bad about it.
In their official announcement, the makers stated, “With a heavy heart, we regret to inform you that Akhanda 2 will not be releasing as scheduled due to unavoidable circumstances. This is a painful moment for us, and we truly understand the disappointment it brings to every fan and movie lover awaiting the film. We are working tirelessly to resolve the matter at the earliest. Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused. Your support means the world to us. We promise to share a positive update very soon,” the team of Akhanda 2 posted.
The announcement made fans unhappy, and everyone is now waiting for the new release date. Some are urging the team to resolve the issues that caused the postponement immediately and schedule the release for next Friday. Others feel the delay might be beneficial and are asking the makers to push the film into the Sankranthi 2026 race. Whatever the final decision is, it rests with the makers.
Akhanda 2 features Samyuktha, Aadhi Pinisetty, and others in significant roles. Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta produced it under the 14 Reels Plus banner on a grand scale. Thaman composed the soundtrack. The makers had even planned a 3D version for release.
