Leaving all the Nandamuri fans disappointed, the makers of Balakrishna’s highly anticipated pan-India action drama, Akhanda 2, recently announced that the film has been postponed. Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, Akhanda 2 was supposed to hit theaters worldwide on December 5, 2025, but it didn’t see the light of day due to financial issues.
Amid speculations that Akhanda 2 has been postponed indefinitely, the film’s makers at 14 Reels Plus took to X on Friday night and made a key announcement. The makers said that they’ve tried their absolute best to bring Akhanda 2 to the big screens.
The makers went on to apologize to all the disappointed fans and cinema lovers across the world over the delay. They also thanked Balayya and Boyapati for standing by them during this challenging moment. “Akhanda 2 will hit the bullseye whenever it arrives. Coming very soon with a new date,” they concluded.
It remains to be seen if Akhanda 2 can manage to open in cinemas worldwide in December or during the Sankranthi festive season in January next year. Aadhi Pinisetty, Samyuktha Menon, and others play lead roles in the movie. Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta produced this high-budget entertainer. Thaman is the film’s music composer.
