Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Moves Delhi High Court – Here’s Why!’

Elegant Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan filed a petition in the Delhi High Court on Tuesday, seeking protection of her personality rights and requesting that certain individuals be restrained from unauthorised use of her name, images, or AI-generated content in a derogatory manner for monetary gain.

Senior advocate Sandeep Sethi, appearing for the Taal actress, stated that Rai aims to enforce her publicity and personality rights. He highlighted that completely fabricated intimate photographs were being circulated online. “There can be no right for anyone to use her images, likeness, or persona. A person is collecting money merely by using my name and face,” Mr. Sethi argued. He added, “Her name and likeness are being used to satisfy someone’s sexual desires. This is very unfortunate.”

Justice Tejas Karia indicated that online platforms and individuals misusing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s images or persona without authorisation would likely be restrained.

“We will pass orders against each of the defendants. The prayers are wide, and if we can issue a common order, we will do so. Otherwise, injunctions will be issued separately,” the Court said.
