Sivakarthikeyan and AR Murugadoss’ action thriller Madharaasi couldn’t reach expectations and is turning out to be an underperformer at the ticket windows. Sivakarthikeyan’s performance, action sequences, and a few moments were praised, but the movie, on the whole, didn’t impress the audience.
Till now, the film has earned about Rs. 90 crores gross globally. According to the latest buzz in Kollywood circles, the director and actor might once again join hands. It is said that AR Murugadoss narrated a script to Sivakarthikeyan during the shoot of Madharaasi and that the latter has reportedly shown his interest too.
Madharaasi isn’t a bad film, but we need to see how fans will react if the speculation turns out to be true. Sivakarthikeyan is right now busy with the shoot of Sudha Kongara’s Parasakthi. The movie based on the anti-Hindi movement in Tamil Nadu is scheduled for Pongal 2026 release. On the other hand, Murugadoss is yet to announce any project after Madharaasi.
