Leaving millions of his fans heartbroken and shocked, Sandalwood Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar breathed his last due to a massive cardiac arrest on Friday morning (Oct 29). Puneeth’s last rites will be performed tomorrow at Sree Kanteerava Studio in Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, unable to accept Puneeth’s untimely demise, 3 of his die-hard fans lost their lives in various parts of Karnataka. A 30-year-old fan named Muniyappa, a resident of Maruru village, Hanur taluk in Chamrajnagar district wept uncontrollably in front of the TV and collapsed all of a sudden due to a cardiac arrest. Muniyappa is survived by his wife and two children.
In another tragic news, another Puneeth fan named Parashuram Demannanavar, a resident of Shindolli village in Belagavi district, also passed away following a heart attack at 11 pm last night. Parashuram reportedly kept crying watching the tragic news until his death.
In yet another tragic incident, a young fan named Rahul Gaadivaddara from Athani, Belagavi ended his life by suicide after being heartbroken with Puneeth’s demise. Rahul reportedly decorated Puneeth’s photo with flowers before hanging himself to death.
Meanwhile, thousands of fans and celebrities from across the country are rushing to Kanteerva Stadium to see Puneeth one last time and pay their respects.
