The Summer season has begun, and Tollywood has already had one successful film in the form of Nani’s Dasara. Sai Dharam Tej’s Virupaksha is also doing stunning business and is on track to become a solid blockbuster. The next big season for Telugu cinema will be in August month.
On 11 August 2023, big films are up for release from different industries. Megastar Chiranjeevi, after an earth-shattering blockbuster like Waltair Veerayya, is coming up with Bholaa Shankar, directed by Meher Ramesh. Tamannaah plays the female lead, while Keerthi Suresh plays Chiru’s sister. Bholaa Shankar is the official remake of Ajith’s Vedhalam.
Up next, the crazy project to release on this date is Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. At a time when Bollywood films are failing to do minimal business, Ranbir delivered two 100 crore nett films post-pandemic in the form of Brahmastra and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar. Sandeep Reddy Vanga already stated that he would show how a violent film will be through Animal. Hence there are sky-high expectations for Animal not just in the Hindi belt but also in Telugu states. Rashmika plays the leading lady, and the movie releases in multiple languages.
DJ Tillu’s sequel Tillu Square is also aiming for an August 11, 2023, release, but the confirmation is yet to come. Siddhu Jonnalagadda made the youth go mad with his crazy act in DJ Tillu, and there is solid anticipation for the second part. Directed by Mallik Ram, gorgeous beauty Anupama Parameswaran is playing the leading lady.
Siva Karthikeyan’s Maaveeran/Mahaveerudu, directed by Madonne Ashiwn of Mandela fame, is also releasing on the same day.
