The most anticipated Telugu film, OG, headlined by Powerstar Pawan Kalyan, is up for a grand release on September 25. The movie is produced by DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari under DVV Entertainment. Directed by Sujeeth, the movie features Priyanka Arul Mohan as the leading lady. The glimpses and songs released so far have fetched an extraordinary response. Ahead of the release, Priyanka Mohan interacted with the media, and here’s the transcript.
How has been your journey with Pawan Kalyan for OG?
I have spent two and a half years on this project. I feel lucky to have shared the screen space with Pawan Kalyan sir, and I can’t forget this memorable experience. I play Kanmani, and it holds a very special place in my heart. This is my favorite role to date. I learned a lot of things from Pawan sir every day. He is a gentleman and treats everyone equally. He is a real hero both on and off screen.
How did you become part of OG?
After the film was formally announced, Sujeeth narrated me the script and I liked it pretty much. I gave my nod instantly. I liked the way my role was written. It’s Pawan Kalyan sir’s film. Sujeeth is the director, and DVV Danayya Garu is the producer. What more do I need to give my consent?
Could you tell us about your role?
OG’s timeline is set between the 1980s and 1990s. Since it is a period backdrop film, my role has been designed accordingly. Kanmani is an innocent, sweet girl. She falls deeply in love with Gambeera, and becomes a turning point in his life.
Is OG just an action film? Will it include family drama?
OG also features family drama. Action is just one of the many elements present in the film. OG has a strong story with ample scope for family drama.
What does Pawan Kalyan talk to you about on the sets?
Generally, he talks about the books and novels that he has read. He also discusses history, movies, and politics with me. Pawan sir mostly talks about people.
Tell us a few words about Sujeeth.
He has complete clarity about how to film a scene and how to extract performances from artists. Sujeeth is the reason my character and look turned out well.
Could you tell us about your future projects?
I have been listening to stories in Tollywood. I have accepted a few films in other languages, which are now in production.
