Teja Sajja’s Mirai opened to solid reviews, and the opening-day sales are sensational, promising spectacular Day 1 collections that will impress many. Karthik Gattamneni directs the film.
Interestingly, the movie doesn’t feature any songs. In fact, Vibe Undi was released online prior to the film’s release but didn’t make it into the final cut. Another song, featuring Nidhhi Agerwal, also exists but wasn’t included.
Yes, the Hari Hara Veera Mallu actress features in a special number in Mirai. The song was shot on a moving train, evoking vibes similar to the iconic Chaiya Chaiya from Shah Rukh Khan’s Dil Se. However, the makers decided not to include it in the theatrical cut, as they felt it might disrupt the film’s flow. Still, Nidhhi is acknowledged with a thank-you credit in the opening titles.
It remains to be seen whether the makers plan to add the song in the OTT release, drop it on YouTube, or reintroduce it into the film after a few days of its theatrical run. For now, fans will have to wait and watch.
Apart from Teja Sajja, the film also stars Manchu Manoj, Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, Jayaram, and others in key roles. Mirai is produced by People Media Factory with music composed by Gowra Hari.
