Kollywood icon Kamal Haasan is currently promoting his much-anticipated film Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam. The film has been making waves across social media and cinema circles, thanks to its effective promotional campaign.
At a recent promotional event, Kamal was asked about the possibility of collaborating with Malayalam superstars Mohanlal and Mammootty. Responding to this, he said “I’ve worked with Mohanlal before, but it’s not enough. We will definitely work together again. As for Mammootty sir, we’ve been missing out on a chance to collaborate, and I’m open to it,” Kamal said.
However, he stressed that any collaboration of this scale should be rooted in substance and quality storytelling. “They are great actors, and you can’t waste them,” Kamal added. “Just for the sake of a star combination, you cannot bring them together without a story that truly deserves their presence.”
Meanwhile, Thug Life is gearing up for a grand release on June 5, 2025, in multiple languages. The film features a stellar cast including Trisha, Silambarasan (Simbu), Nassar, Ashok Selvan, Joju George, and more. Music is composed by A.R. Rahman.
