Due to the lockdown, the entire film industry is suffering with the shootings and movie releases stalled overnight. While a few makers are planning to release their films on the OTT platforms, a few others are thinking about alternative methods to recover their investments.
As per the latest reports, film producers are expected to discuss the possibility of setting up drive-in theaters along with the distributors and exhibitors. If the plan materializes, the distributors and exhibitors need to plan Drive-in movie theaters in all the major cities across AP and Telangana.
But the point to be noted is that apart from buying the streaming rights, can the distributors afford more expenses to create a Drive-In theater system?
