Is director VV Vinayak staging a comeback with a biggie? If the ongoing buzz in film circles is anything to go by, the star director is all set to reunite with Tollywood star Venkatesh. The duo previously collaborated on the blockbuster action family entertainer, Lakshmi, that released in 2006.
Apparently, Venkatesh and VV Vinayak have been in talks for a possible collaboration for some time, and it looks like the project is finally falling into place. Like Lakshmi, VV Vinayak is said to have prepared yet another high-voltage action family entertainer for Venky and got his approval. After delivering his career’s biggest hit with Sankranthiki Vasthunnam during the Pongal festive season this year, Venky is in the mood to experiment and decided to star in an action family entertainer.
The Venky-Vinayak film will be made on a lavish budget by popular producer Nallamalupu Bujji, who also bankrolled Lakshmi. This soon-to-be-announced film will mark VV Vinayak’s Tollywood comeback after the 2018 action drama, Inttelligent. His Bollywood debut with the Chatrapati remake featuring Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas ended up as a damp squib in 2023.
