Sai Tej and Samyuktha Menon’s recently released supernatural thriller, Virupaksha, has had a dream run in its opening weekend. The film is trending equally well in the twin Telugu states and overseas. On Sunday, Virupaksha collected a solid share of Rs 5.76 crore in the Nizam, Ceded and Uttarandhra regions, which is the third highest-ever day 3 share for any tier 2 hero.
Virupaksha’s theatrical rights are valued at Rs 19.25 crore and Rs 22.25 crore for the twin Telugu states as well as Rest of India and overseas respectively. The Karthik Varma Dandu directorial is all set to reach the break even mark in all the centres by noon shows on Monday.
Starting today, Virupaksha producers BVSN Prasad and Sukumar as well as the distributors will be pocketing huge profits, as the film shows no signs of slowing down at the ticket counters.
