Tamil Superstar Vijay’s latest outing, Mersal, hit the screens yesterday and witnessed terrific openings at the box-office. Meanwhile, 123telugu had already reported that the film will not have a simultaneous release in Telugu and that it was postponed to October 19th. With the thunderous response for the Tamil version, expectations around the Telugu version have shot up.
Now, the latest update is that the film is not releasing this weekend due to a delay in the censor. The film’s Telugu presenters at Northstar Entertainments are waiting for the Tamil producers to complete the censor formalities in Chennai. The new release date will be announced soon.
Directed by Atlee, the film has Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha and Nitya Menon as the female leads. The film has its music composed by AR Rahman.
